CTET 2026 Syllabus has been released by CBSE for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test. The exam consists of Paper-1 for primary level teachers (Class 1 to 5) and Paper-2 for upper primary teachers (Class 6 to 8). Candidates can download the detailed syllabus from ctet.nic.in.

Paper-1 Syllabus: Child Development and Pedagogy (30 questions), Language-1 (30), Language-2 (30), Mathematics (30) and Environmental Studies (30).
Paper-2 Syllabus: Child Development and Pedagogy (30), Language-1 (30), Language-2 (30), Mathematics and Science (60) or Social Studies (60) as per the subject option.
Preparation Tips: Focus on child psychology, learning theories, inclusive education and pedagogy topics which carry the most marks. Practicing the previous year question papers is highly beneficial.
The CTET certificate is valid for lifetime and is applicable for teacher recruitment in the central government schools.
